We didn't get many blue sky days in Antarctica, the weather there can change rapidly, as it did this day. Shortly after this, the blue sky disappeared and became overcast with strong winds. We had to go back to ship in our Zodiac bumping around over big waves. The light was beautiful when I took this, and really brings out the turquoise colour of the water. The wide angle lens does wonderful things to the clouds in the sky, making them into rays, due to the convex nature of the lens glass. I have many shots of this scene, I couldn't decide which one to put up, I'll be putting more up, each is different.
